Members of Congress and opposition leaders wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday urging the government to convene a special meeting of the two houses of parliament following the April 22 terrorist attacks in Jammu and Pahalgam in Kashmir.

Gandhi said in his letter that the attack angered every Indian and stressed the need for a unified response. The letter said: “The terrorist attacks in Pahargam have angered every Indian. At this critical moment, India must show that we will always oppose terrorism.”

He further pointed out that the opposition believed that a special session should be held to allow the people's representatives to express their unity and determination.

The letter added: “The opposition believes that special sessions of the two parliaments should be convened, and that representatives of the people can show their solidarity and determination. We request that such special sessions be convened at the earliest.”

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge also wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying the party called on the government to convene a special session of the two houses of parliament in response to the attack.

In his letter, Karger said the proposed meeting would be a platform for expressing a joint position on the attack and would demonstrate collective determination to resolve the situation.
The president of Congress also pointed out that the opposition's belief in solidarity and solidarity was a need at the time.

The demand for political focus is increasing among the anger and mourning following the terrorist attack on April 22.

During the meeting, a resolution was adopted to express strong opposition to the attack and to show unity to the victims and their families.

Chamu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary made a resolution to condemn the terrorist attacks in Pahargam at the beginning of the meeting, after which Speaker Abdul Rahim would rather open.

The resolution endorses diplomatic measures announced by the Cabinet Security Conference Committee in the Cabinet Government.

The resolution was adopted without any divisions and the meeting was subsequently adjourned by the sine. Since the 2019 Pulwama strike, Pahalgam attacks have been one of the deadliest attacks in the valley, with 40 CRPF Jawans killed. India has taken strong measures against Pakistan in support of cross-border terrorism following the Pahalgam terrorist attack.
