In the clash of Grand Slam champions, Elena Rybakina Raducanu, which rolled 6-1, 6-2 in 62 minutes, opened its fourth round to the United States for the first time.
Afterward, Rakanu clarified her partnership with her new coach Francisco Roigcoached Rafa Nadal for many years.
The 22-year-old Briton said she was committed to working with Roig until at least until the end of the 2025 season.
Despite the failure today, Radanu said their three-week partnership was “very successful” and she looked forward to working with Roig.
“Yes, now we’re working until the end of the year. I’m looking forward to really getting back to work,” Rakanu said. “It’s only three weeks, but in a sense it’s been a long way to go, and it’s a very successful three weeks.

Roger succeeded Mark PageHe has been informally coaching Raducanu since the Miami Open. Tennis Channel analyst Petchey had agreed to work with Raducanu before the end of the grass season, but could not commit to a full-time coach due to his obligation to television comment.
Raducanu has partnered with Petchey, who previously coached at Andy Murray, to register some of his best results over the years.

The challenge for the 2021 U.S. Open champion is to work wisely on the driving range without overtraining and taking risks of injury.
“I think I want to train a lot, and I practice for a lot of hours, but I think it can bring a lot of wear and tear to my body,” Raducanu said. “So, I think I’m doing a great job right now. For the most part, my work is very strong and overall healthy. I’m not injured.
“But that’s where I need to be detained, I need people around me to get back, saying, we’ve done enough. That’s my burden because I always want to do more, practice more, play and compete.”
