Reddit makes it easier to evaluate the impact of your comments. The company is introducing detailed analysis to measure comments on perspectives and other metrics of participation. Reddit shares the change as part of a larger batch of things around how it handles comments on the platform.
Comment insights will provide detailed information around high voting (including the ratio of high voting to low price voting), replies, views, stocks and rewards. Additionally, Redditors will now be able to share comments as standalone posts on Reddit.
The platform also adds a draft feature for comments, which will allow people to save up to 20 drafts for 14 days. According to Reddit, the draft will be saved automatically, so if you stay away from the page or place it in and out of the app, you can revisit your own ideas. Reddit said in the update that the draft is “still in an early iteration” and that it may tweak how the feature works in a future release.
These changes are the latest way Reddit has added flexibility in comments in recent weeks. Earlier this month, the company said it would allow users to comment from their profiles.
