Harri Heliovaara and Henry Patten leave Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool waiting for their chance to vie for the year-end ATP Doubles No. 1 honors presented by PIF at the Rolex Paris Masters on Saturday.
Third seeds Heliovara and Patten easily defeated Quentin Harris and Pierre-Hugues Herbert 6-3, 6-4 in the French capital to reach the ATP Masters 1000 final as a team for the first time. According to Infosys ATP statistics, they converted four of 11 break points in the 69-minute victory.
Heliovara and Patten are ranked fourth in the PIF ATP Live Doubles Team Rankings. If they lose on Saturday, Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool will have a chance to claim the year-end No. 1 spot in the day’s second semi-final in Paris.

Cash and Glasspool ultimately defeated Francisco Cabral and Lucas Midler 6-4, 5-7, 10-7, and the all-British pair will lift the trophy on Sunday, ensuring they end the year as world number one. However, if Heliovaara and Patten win in Paris, the battle for first place at the end of the year will continue to the Nitto ATP Finals, where both teams will compete.
The Paris Championship will be the fifth Tour-level match between Cash/Graspoor and Heliovara/Paten, all of which will take place in 2025. Cash and Glasspool lead 4-0 in the Lexus ATP Head-to-Head series between the two teams, but three of the games have gone to final sets or tie-breaks.
