If you have trouble checking Reddit today, you are not alone. Under excavators showed peaks in the field power outages and problems. Reddit acknowledged the issue on Wednesday. 12:38 pm ET said the situation has been resolved.
Reddit told Engadget that the update was the culprit. “The updates we made have caused some instability,” a company spokesperson said. “We recovered and saw Reddit ramp backups.”
If you try to access Reddit this morning, you may see a message reading: “Server Error: We encountered an error. Please try again later.” The company’s system status page shows a “partial outage” for desktop networks, mobile networks, and mobile applications.
Meanwhile, starting around 11:20 a.m. ET, the status page of the descent (pictured above) shows a sharp upward trend in the problem. The graph dropped again after Reddit implemented its fix.
