Renault Northern SUV launch will enhance global influence

Renault said it will be launched by the launch of the Renault Northern SUV, which is its launch targeting new members outside of Europe.
The North aims to drive growth and consolidate the brand’s presence in C-field in more than 70 countries.
Last year, Renault sold 1.577 million cars, about 40% (560,000 cars) outside Europe.
The North is said to be a key element of the “International Gaming Plan 2024-2027” which includes an investment of 3 billion euros ($3.5 billion) to introduce eight new cars outside of Europe, five of which are in the high-value C and D sectors.
The company aims to double the revenue per car by 2027 compared to 2019.
“Today, I’m proud to announce a new chapter in this adventure: Renault Boreal, a true symbol of our ambition to improve quality and innovation around the world, bringing more value to customers outside of Europe and enhancing our mobile high prices.”
Renault noted that Boreal aims to meet the growing demand for family SUVs in the C sector to complement the brand’s products in the Middle East, Turkey and the Mediterranean basin, where SUVs account for more than half of the cars.
Renault’s industrial strategy in the north involves production on two continents. The Curitiba ruins in Brazil will cater to 17 Latin American countries, while the Bursa ruins in Türkiye will serve 54 markets including Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Mediterranean countries.
This approach aims to improve logistics agility and optimize production costs.
The north is 4.56m and 184m wide, with up to 24 driver assistance systems including emergency parking assistance systems, lane assistants and blind spot warnings.
Renault Boreal launch will begin in Brazil in the second half of 2025, followed by launches in Latin America, Türkiye and other markets in 2026.
Last month, the company introduced two new fully hybrid E-Tech powertrains, improving performance on the Symbioz and Espace models.
