Report Grand Slam Boeing over 737 Max Mid air blowout

Story::: NTSB

U.S. regulators released a report last year on Alaska Airlines’ Boeing 737 Max.

And, for the aerospace giant, it’s not easy to read.

The National Transportation Safety Commission said Boeing failed to provide workers with training, guidance and supervision that could prevent the incident.

In Tuesday’s comments, the board criticized the company’s safety culture and failed to properly install key bolts when making the jet.

NTSB Chairman Jennifer Homendy said the incident was completely avoidable because aircraft manufacturers should address production issues identified in internal audits that date back to a decade or more.

She said it was “a miracle” that no one was killed or seriously injured in the blowout.

The accident puts Boeing in a deep crisis.

It prompted the Justice Department to open up a criminal investigation and announced that the company violated a late prosecution agreement reached after an earlier fatal crash.

Regulators also limit maximum output, while the company is committed to improving quality.

These limitations remain, and this is the company’s best-selling model of compressed production.

Boeing said it regrets the incident and continues to work to strengthen safety and quality.

It is redesigning the door plug that causes blowouts.

HOMENDY praised the new company head Kelly Ortberg, but said he “cut the job” to solve all the problems.

The NTSB report also criticized the Federal Aviation Administration, saying it should be aware of the company’s problems.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has now added oversight of Boeing, saying last year it was too disappointed in surveillance of the company.
