Elena Rybakina rose from the scene where she beat Dayana Yastreska at Omnium Banque Nationale on Saturday, beating the Ukrainian 5-7, 6-2, 7-5, to play the quarter-finals with Marta Kostyuk.
Rybakina was ninth in the ninth place and was 12th in the ninth place, wasting a breakout lead in the opening match and was broken in the 12th game.
She bounced back and powered on the second set before spinning the table on Yastreska late 6-5.
In the final match, Yastreska saved the trio and got a breakout point, which was removed by Rybakina’s brave second service ace.

The 2023 semi-finals will face Marta Kostyuk, who beat McCartney Kessler 5-7 6-3 6-3 in Saturday’s 16 rounds.
Rybakina won two of the previous three meetings with Kostyuk, including the last two.
