• The WD_Black SN850X is priced at $150 (25% off): Our current favorite Gen4 NVME Drive will be available on Prime Day, with read speeds over 7,000 MB/s easier to access than ever. In our tests, we found that the 1TB SN850X significantly improved our Windows operating speed without adding heat.

• WD Blue SN5000 is priced at $200 (33% off): This is the internal SSD with 4TB capacity and compatibility with the fast performing NVME protocol. Western Digital is the same brand behind WD_Black (see above) claiming that the blue model can reach 5,500 MB/s read speeds.

• Lexar 1TB NM790 costs $67 (29% discount): The NM790 is a single-sided SSD that can release sequential read speeds of 7400 MB/s. The one-sided design means it stays cool for longer, and this 1TB deal includes supply. This is an excellent budget alternative to the same one-sided Samsung 990 Pro (see below).

• Sabrent Rocket 2230 costs $150 (15% off): The Sabrent Rocket 2230 is a thumbnail-sized NVME card that we found to be perfect for the M.2 slot on the steam deck. Thanks to this deal, you can save a lot by buying a low-end steam deck and using one of them.

• Samsung Fit Plus costs $23 (34% off): The Fit Plus is our favorite thumb drive and it’s not close yet. Run USB 3.1 on transfer speeds between 300 and 400 MB/s, and it even comes with a keychain hook. Current deals are available for a 34% discount on product.

• Samsung 870 EVO priced at $76 (24% off): For the average user, the 870 EVO is a good budget option and once installed, they will most likely get a speed boost on any PC activity. The maximum reading speed is 560 MB/s, which is not for hardcore gamers, but everyday users should see the real benefits.

• Samsung 990 Pro costs $150 (29% off): The entire Samsung Pro series of SSD is perfect for gamers, especially the PS5 seems to have one installed. The 990 Pro can reach reading speeds of up to 1,400 kb/s – yes, that’s a thousand, not megabytes.

• Acer FA100 1TB priced at $51 (15% off): The ACER FA100 isn’t the fastest SSD, but at least competitive, and may be one of the cheapest ways to take advantage of NVME 3.0’s considerable capabilities. Only 1TB versions are marked as Golden Day.

Best Prime Day Portable SSD Deals

• Samsung T7 costs $114 (39% discount): The T7 took a long time as our dominant champion portable SSD, which is still a great deal – technically outdated means record prices on hardware, which is fast enough for a steam deck or switch.

• Samsung T9 costs $170 (43% off): We used to name the Samsung T7 as our favorite portable SSD, but the T9 easily outperformed it, almost doubled the data transfer speed. From now on, its marking has dropped by 43% until the end of the 11th day of Golden Day.

• Sandisk 1TB Extreme costs $78 (40% off): Sandisk designed the extreme of portability, which shows – it’s almost indestructible SSD that you can keep in almost any bag or pocket. Although it only works with USB-C, it’s also fast. This 1TB deal cuts the price by 40%.

• The Critical X10 1TB priced at $82 (24% off): The crucial X10 is a portable SSD for power users and can only work on devices that support the latest version of USB 3.2. If this is what your build needs, then you are unlikely to see it much cheaper than this.

• The Critical X10 2TB, priced at $135 (18% off): The 2TB version of the X10 is currently available for almost 20%.

• The Critical X10 Pro 2TB, priced at $150 (28% off): The crucial X10 Pro is perfect for a very small number of users. If your PC build is currently working with USB 3.2 Gen 2X2 but has not handled USB4 or Thunderbolt yet, you can’t find a faster portable SSD for your needs.

• Kingston XS1000 costs $80 (15% off): We named the Kingston XS1000 the second best portable SSD in the current roundup, so it’s nice to see it enjoy a 15% discount today. It’s almost as fast as the key X9 Pro, just not that hard.

• The price of the Adata SE920 is $142 (5% off): The 5% discount is disappointing, but the Adata SE920 itself is not disappointing. This is the ideal model for anyone who often makes massive downloads. The SE920’s maximum read speed is 3,800 MB/s It will impress for a full-size SSD, but it’s completely portable and weighs less than a half pound.

• Garmese 1TB Portable SSD costs $64 (20% off): This portable SSD uses USB3.2 to achieve a read speed of about 1000 MB/s, which is very impressive for devices that are much larger than flash drives. While the download is fast, transferring multiple files at once is not great.

Best Prime Day MicroSD Card Trading

• Lexar Professional Silver Plus costs $38 (48% off): Our tests show that it is the fastest microSD card on the market, beating the entire Samsung production line. Without trying to be patient, downloading and uploading 4K files is not only fast enough, but also waterproof, cheap and squeezed in USB-A and USB-C ports.

• Lexar Electronics Series costs $31 (15% off): Although Silver Plus beat it, the Lexar E-series is still fast enough for 4K video and is solid enough to fit your adventure camera. The deal includes a five-pack microSD card with about $6 per 64GB of storage.

• Samsung Pro Plus costs $17 (35% off): The Samsung Pro Plus is an excellent MicroSD card that suits most needs, so if it’s cheaper than the Lexar option, use it. We found it particularly good in handheld gaming systems. Just make sure to rated it at 180 mb/s or it will be said on the package).

• Sandisk Ultra 256GB MicroSDXC is priced at $17 (35% off): If you’re still rocking the switch 1 (thanks, goal) and want a cheap storage expander, this deal on the Sandisk 256GB microSD card is for you. Now at $17, which is much lower than most games you might store in it.

• Samsung Evo chooses for $22 (27% off): So far, if you’re pursuing cheap microSD cards, this is by far the best option – we’ve seen it sell for no more than $25. This is too slow for the camera, but it’s good for any passive storage that doesn’t match.

Best Golden Day External Hard Drive Trading

• Seagate Portarable costs $65 (19% off): All Seagate hard drives we use can be refreshing, combining thin, lightweight hardware with consistent speeds, and portable is no exception. At 4TB, this is largely for external hard drives that have no tradeoffs.

• Seagate Game Drive costs $76 (16% off): Seagate’s gaming drive is the primary option for adding extra space to the PS5 or Xbox Series X. The price used to be too high and now it’s down to $90 at 2 TB, which was before Prime Day, making it cheaper.

• WD My Passport is $140 (24% off): The Western Digital My Passport cable is old by computer hardware standards, but has been updated to USB 3.0 and 3.1 and remains one of the cheapest options for a 6 TB hard drive. This version includes automatic backup software.

• WD Elements priced at $130 (26% off): Elements HDD from Western Digital has been getting positive feedback from our staff over the years and as an older model it is now inexpensive for 6 TB of storage. It is compatible with PCs and Macs out of the box.

• The WD_Black P10 drive costs $155 (18% off): We are big fans of WD_Black SSD, and the game-centric external P10 is worthy of companion. It comes with 6 TB of storage for PC, PS5 or Xbox game library.

• Unionsine 500GB external hard drives cost $27 (19% off): Unionsine’s HDD is fast and USB3 compatible. Despite how thin and light it is, we found it difficult to damage it. File sizes can be a bit tight these days, but at this price you can buy two of them.
