As part of the East Coast experiences heat waves, temperatures in Washington, D.C. are expected to reach the 90s.

“Until 8 pm to this evening, until 8 pm. The temperature during the day will feel like 105°F or hotter. Drink water. Stay cool.”

Officials warn people to take precautions to prevent heat-related diseases.

Schumer’s office said the senator wanted to remind everyone to “drink water and avoid the heat.”
