Globe over time and Statista’s welcome to the world’s most sustainable companies 2025

Globe won the coveted position of Time magazine and Statista (the only Philippine telecom company) on the 2025 list of the world’s most sustainable companies. This recognition strengthens the company’s position as a local and international sustainability leader and places Globe in a select group of global leaders, redefining the completion of business through sustainable practices.
Joining a prestigious list of 500 global organizations, leading allegations of environmental, social and governance (ESG) excellence, this recognition underscores Globe’s commitment to embed sustainability into its operations and drive impact through measurable actions. The Global Rankings covers more than 20 performance indicators through rigorous assessments, evaluating over 5,700 companies worldwide that do not include unsustainable businesses and combine external ratings and commitments, reporting and transparency, and management of environmental and social management.
“For Globe, sustainability is crucial to our strategy to bring long-term value to our stakeholders,” said Carl Cruz, President and CEO of Globe. “This global recognition strengthens our sustainability leadership in the country. At the heart of our business is our customers because we have a meaningful impact for them, our value chains and the communities we serve.”
Globe’s sustainability milestones include the AA rating of the MSCI ESG study, validating zero-science-based goals by 2050 through the Science-Based Goals initiative, and active participants in the United Nations global compact and UNFCCC competition.
The company, dedicated to transparency and accountability, released an integrated report that is consistent with information about how it creates value over time. This annual comprehensive report is secured by a third party and includes an independent verification statement for its range 1, 2 and 3 greenhouse gas emissions for two consecutive years.
In 2024, 24.34% of its electricity comes from renewable energy sources and is planned to be green in the next two years through various clean energy plans. Globe has also deployed over 38,000 green solutions, including the use of clean fuel with lower emissions and consuming less fuel and electricity. These highlight the company’s innovative approach to environmental management.
Socially, Globe continues to advocate diversity, equity and inclusion as the fundamental pillars of its dynamic workforce. With women making up 44% of their workforce and providing same-sex benefits to their employees, Globe cultivates an environment where everyone feels valuable and empowered. Its significant decline in non-disease injuries further highlights the effectiveness of Globe’s ISO 45001:2018 certified occupational health and safety systems in protecting the well-being of its employees and their communities serving.
“Being part of this respected global list reflects our progress, but more importantly, our purpose,” said Yoly Crisanto, Chief Sustainability and Corporate Communications Officer. “We remain firmly driven inclusive growth, conducting our business with integrity, demonstrating that profitability and purpose can join hands and inspire a sustainable future for all.”
