Single alumnus Madison Prewett reflects on sex and marriage

Bachelor Alumni Madison “Madi” Prewett In the candid 2025 podcast episode, she shares her past struggles with pornography and masturbation.

Before her Bachelor’s degree Season and subsequent marriage, McGrady decided to pursue a “pure life” after trying to “get rid of pornography and masturbation” as a teenager.
She told listeners during her June 2025 podcast to tell listeners to “stay true”.

“Binding Life”
In an episode of the June 2025 “Stay True” podcast, Madi reveals how she struggled with porn and masturbation during her middle school and high school.
“Thankfully, by the grace of God, by the power of the godly community and the people around me, I got rid of the range of pornography and masturbation – I didn’t even know – for ten years.” “But that was a thing of disgust with me and marked me for so long. … No matter how much I love Jesus, I couldn’t shake this sin. I couldn’t get rid of pornography and masturbation.”
McGrady recalled the first time she had “make sex and hook up” when she was 13 years old.
“I’ve been curious about things at times, have certain feelings, want to know something or fantasize about something, I’m not telling anyone,” she said. “I didn’t do anything about it, but I’m curious, I’m about 13 years old. I went to a friend’s house and her parents weren’t around and she opened this very inappropriate show.”
McGrady remembered the feeling of “feeling something I’ve never had before”, especially the feeling of “desire.” From there, McGrady said she started looking for porn, but she rationalized it as herself because she didn’t actually “with [her] Boy friend. ”
“That’s where I fell. I struggled, I believe in lies. That lies led to a life of restraint,” McGrady stressed.
“Gray Area”

In her podcast on sex, Maddie reflects on life in total isolation because she never told anyone about her interest in pornography and masturbation.
“Whenever you live in secret, it only causes more sin, it only causes more shame, because that’s where the enemy thrives,” she said. “I can’t break free until I bring others into it until I stop letting the enemy live in a life of secrecy and isolation.”
McGrady admits that her lonely lifestyle as a teenager is “too difficult” [her] It took so long” because she felt like she was “robbed”.
“I will beat myself up, I will be bound by shame because I know I love Jesus, I want to live a life for Jesus, but I don’t know how to untie it. I don’t know how to get rid of this sin.” “I question my value and identity. Every time I commit a sexual sin, I don’t know my purpose.”
“Pure Life”
McGrady used her confession podcast to reveal that her husband Grant built their relationship with a completely different attitude toward sex. (Grant is the son of telecommunications executive Kenny Troutthis ranking Forbes‘The list of the richest people in the world in the past. )

“Radical Transformation”
Madi describes how Grant made a “radical transformation” in his belief system after he let go of the past.
“He started to raise a sense of responsibility in life, and he chose to pursue a pure lifestyle,” she said on the podcast. “He wasn’t perfect. Did he have moments of falling? He did.”
The reality star confirmed that Grant’s choice of “pursuing purity” allows the two of them to move forward through engagement.
“We were able to have such joy and peace at the time on the altar when we were dedicated to each other, body, soul and spirit because we knew that was something we were pursuing personally and together.”
“God can use the bachelor”

(Peter and Hannah Ann broke up after the March 2020 finale, as he admitted he was still reunited briefly with Madi and Madi, but ultimately decided not to form a relationship.)
McGrady told Christian Post In September 2021, she joined bachelor Hope to encourage other Christians to broaden their horizons.
“I not only feel like I’ve learned a lot, but grew up so much, and it’s really just for everyone who God talks to and encourages, and that’s one of the coolest things that can be said, ‘God can use someone like me, God can use something like the Bachelor to bring glory to his name because that’s his name,” she said. ”

“Male Brain”
Madi and Grant got married in October 2022. US Weekly Moving in with Grant in April 2023 brought some unexpected challenges.
“I don’t have brothers, so I’m just learning the male brain.” “I thought, ‘Wait, that’s what you think? Is that your mind?’ Honestly, overall, just around the male [is new] – I’m used to being around women all the time. ”
She continued: “Before that, I lived with my best friend for two years and then lived with my sisters.
“How to communicate”
When chatting us In 2023, Madi admitted that some communication problems must be overcome in the early stages of marriage.
“I think in the first month I’m not the best person to learn how to convey my expectations, so I only have those expectations and he’s like, ‘Well, you never told me!’ I thought, “Okay, that’s a good point,” she said. “We’re just learning how to communicate, you know, [our] Want, need, expect. ”
The biggest gift
When the couple is at their four-month wedding in April 2023, McGrady advises newlyweds to “grow and learn a lot” every day.
“He is indeed my best friend in the world,” McGrady and us. “I mean, we’ve been four and a half months, so we’re obviously still learning a lot. But, we’re so grateful for having such a good community around us. We have mentors and people, we keep asking questions, you know, you know, and asking them to pray for us and encourage us. So we’re really happy that the good people around us are learning and growing in our own marriages.”
