Just the second day of the beginning, the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival 2025 was completely cancelled due to extreme weather.
The four-day event, which attracted 70,000 attendees last year, started yesterday in Manchester, Tennessee, with artists including Tyler, creator, Olivia Rodrigo and Vampire Weekend booking headlines Sunday night. However, in the case of “significant” precipitation leading to worsening, organizers weakened the rest of the activity.

“We cannot achieve it, but we must make the safest decision and cancel the rest of Bonnaroo,” the statement posted on the official website of the festival reads.
The organizers explained that “the huge and steady precipitation that will cause worsening camping and export conditions in the coming days” led them to cancel this year’s event. The festival encourages those who are in good campgrounds or staying in RVs or pre-established accommodation to stay overnight, so organizers can safely escort them tomorrow.
The organizers paused the show due to weather earlier on Friday, and the center was evacuated shortly afterwards due to the weather. “We have made our hearts the most special year of this weekend and cannot express the frustration we have to make this decision,” the statement said. “Thank you in advance for your patience, motivation and firm Bonnarovia spirit.”
All one-day ticket holders and parking purchasers from Friday to Sunday will be refunded. Those who purchase four-day tickets and four-day camping accommodation will receive a 75% refund. The organizers said the refund will be processed in “only 30 days.”
