According to the IMD, between June 10 and 15, Mumbai and Kolkata can expect monsoons. For Hyderabad, the monsoon is expected to arrive between June 5 and 10. Bangalore and Chennai can expect rainfall between June 1 and 5, while in Delhi, monsoon rainfall is expected between June 25 and 30.

Cyclone Shakti
On Wednesday, May 14, IMD clarified that there was no such whirlwind. The Meteorological Office denied various media reports about the formation of “Cyclone Shakti”. According to IMD, the Andaman Sea only has a cyclone cycle, not a cyclone storm.
“A high-altitude cyclone over the Andaman Sea is located at 0300 UTC today on May 13, 2025, 1.5 km to 7.6 km above the average sea level, with an altitude of tilting southwest,” IMD said on May 13.
