Spicejet staff was attacked by passengers at Srinagar Airport; FIR filed against defense employees

A passenger physically attacked four Spicejet employees at the boarding gate of the SG-386 flight to Delhi, which took place at the Srinagar airport.
According to a statement released by a SpiceJet spokesman, the passenger (identified as a senior officer) punched, repeatedly kicked the staff, and even used queue booths as weapons.
One employee suffered a spinal fracture while another suffered a serious chin injury.
When the staff member was in a coma, the situation escalated, but the passenger continued to beat him. Another employee who tried to help an unconscious colleague was severely kicked to the chin, causing bleeding from the nose and mouth.
However, all injured employees were immediately taken to the hospital and are currently being treated for injuries.
The airline said passengers carry 16 kilograms of cabin luggage, more than double the allowed 7 kilograms. When the local staff politely informed him of the overweight person, the passenger refused and forced into the Merobridge without completing the boarding process. A CISF official intervened and escorted him back to the gate. However, at the door, passengers became increasingly aggressive and physically attacked employees.
FIR has been submitted to local police. According to civil aviation regulations, SpiceJet also began the process of putting passengers on a fly-free list. The airline has formally written to the Ministry of Civil Aviation, urging strong action to target the individuals involved.
CCTV footage of the incident was obtained from airport authorities and handed over to police for investigation.
