This is the first major story told throughout the season of the show. The first five episodes of Season 3 are mostly borrowed ideas or renovations. But this is a key story about command weights, and it works. This is the best episode in Season 3.
Paul Wesley has been an outstanding stand-in for William Shatner, James Kirk. He’s better at Kirk’s role A strange new world It should continue with Captain Kirk’s adventure, when Captain Parker ended after Season 5. If they can maintain and improve the writing level shown in this episode, I’m all for that.
