The Bengali Facebook post wrote on April 27, 2025: “How inhumane it is to have the ability to make things possible.
It includes graphic footage of a crying child, while other students read books within Madrasa, an educational institution whose courses combine Islamic theology and general science (links to archives).

But the videos in circulation are ancient and not filmed in Bangladesh.
one Reverse image search KeyFrames found it earlier posted on Pakistan Express News Channel’s Facebook account on June 29, 2019 (archive link).
“The man was arrested for torture of a child hanging upside down in Madrasa,” reads the Urdu language title for the post.

The following Keyword search Similar visuals were found in June 2019 (archive link) and similar visuals in Express Tribune reports.
The incident happened a few months ago, and thereafter a settlement was reached between the parties involved.
Police in Rawalpindi, Pakistan say When the clip spread and arrested the teacher who allegedly tied up the child, they conducted an investigation (a link to the archive).
AFP reached out to police, but one representative said that since the case was old, no update could be provided.
