Deion Sanders’ son found his cancer with the rest of the world

Deion Sanders Explain the secret of why he diagnosed bladder cancer as his two young sons. Hilo and Shedeur.
“My sons have never known what happened until today,” Dean, 57, said at a press conference at the University of Colorado on Monday, July 28. “I just told them that it was my feet. I want them to focus on forming a team and now focus on dads. They really don’t know.”
Deion’s bladder cancer was discovered on April 14 (10 days before the 2025 NFL draft began).
Shedeur, 23, was finally selected for the fifth round by Cleveland Browns on April 26. After undrafting, Shilo, 25, signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as a free agent.
Shedeur and Shilo both played for Deion at Jackson State before following him to Colorado, where he was appointed head coach in December 2022.
Deion says his three daughters and eldest son Little Deanknow his cancer diagnosis.

Deion and Pilar completed their divorce in 2013.
“None of my son’s junior love has left me since we discovered what’s going on,” Dean told his eldest son Monday, who attended a press conference. “Not a day. He’s with me, he’s with me, in Texas, he’s with me every day.”
Deion added: “Son, I love you all my life and thank you for everything you have brought.”
Shilo visited his father last week at Buccaneers Training Camp, and the NFL hopes to show off via Instagram.
In a podcast interview with his former Dallas Cowboy teammate Michael Owen Deion posted on Monday explains why Shedeur asked him to avoid Browns’ camp.
“Shedeur told me not to come,” Deion said. “Let’s start from scratch. He doesn’t want me to come. He’s like, ‘Dad I’ll probably get three, four reps in practice. I don’t want you to see that.
Deion had a successful surgery in May to clear the bladder.
Dr. Janet KukrejaDirector of Urology Oncology at the University of Colorado, was attended by Sanders’ side on Monday’s press conference and said Sanders had “cured.”
Dean vowed to return off the field when Colorado opens its 2025 season next month.
