Tata Motors has officially launched harrier.ev, a revolutionary electric SUV on the Acti.ev+ platform, a major boost to the Indian electric vehicle market. The car comes in two battery variants: a 65 kWh package that promotes rear-wheel drive system and 75 kWh package with rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive (labeled QWD) options.

The 65 kWh RWD model has an ARAI range of 538 km, while the 75 kWh variant (RWD and AWD) has an optimal 627 km. According to driving conditions, the estimated real-world range is between 440–505 kilometers. The AWD variant is the most powerful variant of torque at 390 bhp and 504 nm, from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.3 seconds.

Charging capacity is one of the main positive factors. With the 120 kW DC fast charger, the Harrier.EV is able to provide a range of 250 km in 15 minutes. It takes about 25 minutes to go from 20% to 80% fully charged. Tata also offers home charging support through 3.3 kW and 7.2 kW ac variants as well as the two-way vehicle-to-load (V2L) and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) features.

Harrier.EV will come with an adventure, fearless and capable version, and will feature later invisible versions. The price of the RWD model is between Rs 21.49 crore and Rs 27.49 lakh, while the price of the AWD will be revealed soon. Booking starts on July 2, 2025.

Inside the cabin, the Tata fills the Harrier.EV with high-end technologies such as a 14.5-inch QLED touch screen, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a JBL Dolby Atmos sound system and part first-time summon mode. A wide range of safety features, with a Level 2 ADA, 540° camera, off-road mode and terrain response system.

Harrier.EV joins a competitive space, and Tata Motors expects its mid-size EV SUV SPACE to see longer distances, excellent performance and advanced features at the price on ice, compared to competitors from the Mahindra Xuv.e9, Hyundai Creta EV, MG ZS EV and Byd Atto 3.
