A calm Towson denied seven of the nine-point breakout points, Swiatek’s nine-game winning streak with a beautiful power-based baseline tennis performance. Apart from the hasty decisive decisive game, Swiatek was underperformed, and Tauson brought it to her when it was most important.
The 16th-seeded Tauson won the Wimbledon title for the first time since falling to Jessica Pegula in the final at Bad Homburg Grass-Court in June.
Tauson is one of the most commanding servers on the WTA Tour, and tonight she shows she is more than just a large server. Tauson embellished all areas of the service box to build her fierce forehand, hitting her backhand with bold intentions, and although she wasn’t as fast as Spey Swiatek around the court, the 22-year-old Dane foresaw the direction of the pole and often beat her. Perhaps it was because Tauson faced Swiatek at Wimbledon and fell directly in 16 rounds last month.
Tonight, Tauson broke through in the third game and then continued his rest with a 3-1 love.
Although Swiatek scored a double breakpoint in Game 6, Tauson eliminated four breakpoints in a penalty of 14 points. Tauson maintained a 4-2 firmness.
Two games later, the six-time Grand Slam champions won a triple breakthrough point. Swiatek was on the verge of breaking up again, only to see Tauson tame the threat with a 5-3 five-point surge.
Swiatek toured in his own service game, defeating 15 with a 4-5 score, and then tightened Tauson’s serving screws in Game 10.
When Dane was in service, Swiatek finally reached Level 5 at Level 15.
The finale even reached two points after Tauson took a straight six-point lead.
A tough Towson saved seven of eight breakout points in that opening scene and repeatedly hurt his opponent with a large number of servings.
Swiatek would be the wise choice to go deeper behind the baseline, in order to give yourself more time to reward, at least give Tauson a different sight.
Tauson won several throws and won eight of the top 10 in the second set serving, Tauson played a decisive role in service direction. Tauson, with a deep drive, broke 15 points with a 3-1 second set lead.
Tauson scored consecutive aces in an hour and 33 minutes to lead 7-6, 4-1.

The six-time Grand Slam champion made a push in Game 6 before closing the gap to 3-4 with a second break.
Tauson undoubtedly continued his first impact and took advantage of the pole’s fifth double fault to beat 5-3.
Tauson didn’t back down for one of his biggest career wins, and when Swiatek got his last backhand, Tauson showed a broad smile and won a well-deserved victory.
