The newly built bridge has nearly 90 degrees of turn

Photos of a highway bridge built on railroad tracks, characterized by nearly 90 degrees spread on social media. One can’t believe that this stupid and obviously dangerous design is not only approved, but no one has stopped stupid projects.

The backyard kart track case has appeared in court.

The full-bridge bridge in question is located in Bhopal, Medabon, India, and government officials suspended seven of the eight civil engineers involved in the bridge project. The new civil engineer reported that the eighth place is the now retired principal engineer, but he is now facing departmental investigation.

In addition, the Mayda Pradesh government has also linked M/S Puneet Chaddah Construction and M/S Dynamic Consultant Design to catastrophic projects.

Apparently, the weird design is due to the fact that it has to be built under the challenging constraints of surrounding land and nearby railway stations. This is blamed for sharp corners in the bridge, rather than gradual and traditional curves.

Even more incredible is that the bridge has been planned since 2018, with the design fundamentally changing 3 times. The first design reportedly incorporated a 45-degree turn. Due to changes in the railway station, which was also planned and then under construction, the second design was scrapped.

We guess the pressure to get the bridge design and final construction is below, so in 2023, the third and final draft was approved.

This is probably one of the most perfect group thinking examples among originally smart people. Any engineer involved in the bridge project can easily take a step back and objectively concluded that a turn of nearly 90 degrees is a bad design. But no.

Now the government is trying to figure out how to repair the bridge constructed, which will undoubtedly be much more expensive than when everything is corrected on paper.
