Ten months later, the 19-year-old Southern California native also ended his season on a high note. On Friday in Metz, France, he defeated Ukraine’s Vitaliy Sachko 6-1, 6-4 to become the fourth youngest finalist in the history of the Mosel Open and the first American.
Tenn will face Cameron Norrie in a southpaw battle in Saturday’s final.
Nori defeated Lorenzo Sonego 4-6, 6-2. 6-4, reaching the ATP final for the 16th time in his career and returning to the Metz final for the second time in two years. The Englishman is the first player since Jo-Wilfried Tsonga (2011-2013) to reach the Metz final two years in a row.
The 38th-ranked American also reached the Beijing final this fall, joining Joao Fonseca as the second teenager in 2025 to reach two ATP finals. As of Friday night, he rose to No. 31 in the ATP Live Rankings.
Only Richard Gasquet (18 years and 3 months, 2004), Gael Monfils (19 years and 1 month, 2005) and Novak Djokovic (19 years and 4 months, 2006) reached the Metz final at a younger age.
