Studios have been threatening to acquire each other over the past few years, and now it seems to be the legendary entertainment venue.
According to Hollywood Reporter, the studio for recent hits Minecraft and dune The trilogy may be snatching the Lions Gate, the most famous John Wick and Hunger Games series. Currently, the two companies are considering participating in a team in certain films, and if everything goes well, that will incorporate a “more complete offer.” There is no specific movie that can help test the waters, but there are several upcoming movies between the two studios, including Dunes: Part 3, and hunger Game: The harvest sunrise.
The past May, Lionsgate itself has been split in half, a business for the movie, and the other is its Starz TV network, all looking for acquisition deals. In October 2024, Legend CEO Josh Grode said the merger and acquisition were cards after the studio acquired shares from then-parent company Wanda Group.
