ICYMI, JLAB JBUDS LUX ANC was crowned as our favorite budget headset at the end of June (very in line with my own recognition: I own a pair and love Em). “They have a fully functional ANC, decent comfort, excellent sound balance and killer battery life, all design-friendly,” wrote Mashable’s Bethany Allard, one of our in-house headphone experts. It also helps them get started at around $50.
As of July 24, the Jbuds Lux ANC is selling for just $51.99 on Amazon, Best Buy and Wal-Mart, with a retail price of 35% for $79.99. (This deal also applies to all four colors: choose from graphite, sage, lilac or cloud.) Meanwhile, they remain on the JLAB website, which shows an inflated list price.
Remember, Jbuds Lux ANC used to be cheaper. Last Black Friday, Walmart had only $29. However, if you don’t want to wait until November to see if there is an all-time low point match, this is a good discount. (For those who missed it, this is also just $4.50 from their mid-July Golden Day price.)

During her testing, Allard’s favorite thing about Jbuds Lux ANC was their balanced sound (once you find the right equalizer setup). “Every part of the panic! Shine from the vocals, main guitar, bass and piano in the disco,” she said. “For cheap headphones, we might want to get through these elements a little messy, but the Jlab Jbuds persevered.” Her battery life also impressed her: they lasted for 40 hours, one charge and canceled the noise.
Mixable transactions
My personal favorite thing about Jbuds Lux ANC is their fit. I have a hard time finding headphones that don’t squeeze the head, and I can wear them comfortably for hours at a time. (They usually go to the gym with me because I don’t want to sweat on my pretty bose letimcomfort 45s.) By contrast, Arad finds them a little tight, so be sure to give them a proper trial before the return period ends to determine how they sit on your head.
