The judge on the World Youth Sexual Assault Trial Against Monday ruled that text messages sent between Brett Howden and teammate Taylor Raddysh were unacceptable in court on June 19, 2018.

The royal family submitted a rumor application on Friday, further analyzing the texts through official cross-examination of Howton. The text message in question is how Howden discusses their world teen teammate Dillon Dube, “working hard to impress the girl’s ass,” and “looks like it hurts.”
Dube is one of five members of Canada’s 2018 World Youth Championship team, each facing allegations of sexual assault related to the June 2018 incident, in which a woman called an em in court documents, said she had sexually assaulted in a hotel room in Hockkey Canada Canada Canada Canada. The other four defendants are Michael McLeod, Carter Hart, Alex Formenton and Carl Foot.
All five pleaded not guilty to their own charges, and McLeod pleaded not guilty to additional charges of sexual assault as the offender. Howden and Raddys were witnesses at the trial and were not charged with any wrongdoing.
Chairman Judge Maria Carroccia explained the “truth” and “reliability” of the text message. Furthermore, she said, unlike traditional acceptable statements, details in the text were not said under oath or when recorded.

The royal family made two other applications to further examine the texts as evidence, but due to the last application objection, it was a last chance.

After Carroccia’s ruling, the defense began cross-examination of Howden.
Hilary Dudding, a Formenton lawyer, asked Howden howen how he remembered when Formenton allegedly went to the bathroom to have sex with the woman in the hotel room. In an interview with investigators in 2018, Howton said he had a brief conversation with Formenton on his way to the bathroom, and Formenton asked if Howton “can do this.”
“If she agrees, if you want, you can, but it’s up to you,” Howton said in that interview.

Dudding walked further from the hotel room to this moment on Monday, asking witnesses whether he thought the woman was “out of control” due to revelation or whether she could not agree to the sex. Howton said she didn’t seem to be drunk and she seemed great to go to the bathroom.
“What I saw was she taking him to the bathroom because she wanted to have sex,” Howton said.
Prior to Dudding, Hart’s lawyers raised some questions about Howden, especially when he recalled the June 2018 incident.
Megan Savard suggested Howden, when he talked to investigators a few weeks later, it would be hard for him to recall certain incidents. Howton agreed.

Saward went further, noting that Holden suffered a head injury in the March 2022 NHL game. The damage related was when Howden first came to the board in a batting in Nashville, Nashville Predators left winger Firip Forsberg, and Howden was eventually taken away from the elastic ice. Although he did not confirm with Savard that this hit made his memory worse, he did agree that concussions can lead to memory loss and difficulty.
As the day ended, a Foote lawyer showed a Gauteng security video at Jack’s Bar in London – where the man on the night of the incident met the complainant’s bar. One of the videos shows Holden and McLeod on the dance floor, sandwiched between them.
When the video ended, Howden seemed to put his hand on or around the hips of EM defense attorney Julianna Greenspan, asking Howden what he was doing at that moment.
“It looks like I’ll pat her on the butt,” Horton said.
The trial is expected to resume on Tuesday, while Greenspan continues to cross-examination of Howton.
