The next Samsung Galaxy Unwacked Event can now be announced on any day. Summer activities usually occur in July or August. A date has not been officially set, but at least one rumor suggests that all of this will drop at 10 a.m. ET on July 9, and New York City is being considered a possible location.
Whenever it happens, we hope that the next open package will focus on the latest developments on Samsung’s foldable and wearables line. Many of these may be business as usual, but the company hinted at making some new additions that could be exciting.
Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold Ultra
Based on the usual annual pace, 2025, which opens this summer, is likely to introduce the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. Recent leaks claim that Gemini Live will be the core of the foldable demo, and given that AI is the buzzword for every technical performance, it will be every technical performance every day, and it would be weird if there is no packaging not on the packaging. AI features are received positive reception from our Fold 6 and Flip 6 reviewers, although they are protected by living room tips rather than valuable assets.
Android headlines Back to the renderings it claims show the design of the Galaxy Z Fold 7. The foldable tone is slimmer than the previous model, and the navy blue chassis is certainly pretty. This also shows that the cover display and the internal display are reported to be larger, at 6.5 inches and 8.2 inches, respectively. The publication also shows alleged Galaxy Z Flip 7 images that also point to the increase in screen real estate.
There may be a third player in the folding lineup, and you can unpack it for this. Samsung’s trailer pointed to the Galaxy Z Fold Ultra last month, which will be used with Galaxy AI. There are no specifications in the blog post, but the company insists that this will have “industry-leading hardware, cutting-edge performance and seamless AI integration optimized for foldable formats”. It doesn’t seem like the three-fold design we’ve heard of the rumble, but it would be an interesting reveal if Samsung did announce that.
Galaxy Watch 8
When it comes to wearables, the only thing we really expect is news about the Galaxy Watch 8. But the expectation is very mild.
This series of Samsung’s smartwatches hasn’t really pushed the envelope for several years. The Galaxy Watch 7 is the third iteration and our reviewers believe the new model only offers incremental improvements from the previous generation. So either this unpacked package will be another round of gains in specifications or Samsung will surprise us with a lot of upgrades. Improving battery life will be a big advantage.
Galaxy S25 Fe
Over the past few weeks, Samsung fans have been speculating that new smartphones may be released soon. While the company’s standard mobile hardware is usually unveiled early this year, we’ve seen some credible rumors that the new Galaxy S25 FE is in progress. If Samsung wants to release a new version of the series in the fall, it will make sense to announce and open bookings in the summer.
The Galaxy S24 FE has some solid specs, but being a real budget model is a bit expensive, especially with an incredible set of AI features. Leaks about the S25 FE so far also point to persistent overwhelming claims that its camera won’t see much of an upgrade, although if rumors say it will use an Exynos 2400 processor, it may boost performance and battery.
