Paris – On the 3rd day of Roland-Garros, I trek early to court 7 to see the atmosphere Joao FonsecaParis debut. As expected – totally crazy.

This is not surprising. Surprisingly, how Fonseca handles all aspects of his Roland-Garros debut.

I watched Fonseca and Hubert Hurkacz walk up the stairs, cheering him with the raging fans. Despite the harsh sound, he seemed to be blocking all and opening completely.

Fonseca was ready from the start of the game and he performed well from start to finish.

It’s no secret that he has on these two wings, but what I left me the deepest is his ability to play physical points, defend and improvise while doing so.

He slipped well. He made it for clay.

And he played such a candid offensive tennis. He is currently like this and is in trouble. Given how mature he is in following his game plan and his choices, it’s hard to believe he’s still only 18 years old.

He didn’t take out the point.

For a while, the stadium went crazy around him. Fonseca already has a great feeling about how to feed itself and how to not sweep it too much. Fans guys traveled to support him, the Brazilian flag flew, and Fonseca knew his role was the leader. He must maintain his wisdom about him and filter out noise as he progresses through his career.

He ended up definitely taking over Hurkacz’s dominance, just like he fused Andrey Rublev in his grand slam in Australia in January. There is no pole at any stage of the game, and Fonseca may dominate the second round against Frenchman Pierre-Hugues Herbert.

Even if they told him it was the next Gugga, and even if they might be too early, Vonneca’s start was in Paris. Then, the sky seemed to be the limit of this child. It would be an honor to watch his debut, and it would be an honor to watch his career develop on Paris clay.
