Similar claims posted in the post mocked Lee on the thread and indicated that the user believed the image was recently taken.

“This shows that Lee will lose the election,” one wrote.

Another said: “Investigation needs to be conducted to see if the driver is drunk.”

But the image is from an accident during the 2022 presidential election – a Democratic spokesman told AFP on May 21, 2025 Crash.

Reverse image search on Google found the photo in the Joongang Ilbo report on February 15, 2022 (Archive link).

The report quotes Busan police, who said a campaign truck of Lee hit the ceiling of the overpass and was overturned while canvassing the city.
