The “retired pilot” claimed that Trump’s plane flew 37 times to Epstein Island. This is a fact

• In August 2025, a Facebook user said he was a former Canadian airline pilot claiming US President Donald Trump’s plane flew to the island of late financier and convicted at least 37 times of sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

• Epstein died in jail in 2019 and owns the Big St James and the Little St James Islands, part of the U.S. Virgin Islands. Prosecutors claim Epstein Trafficking underage girls to Little St. James to cover up the abuse of the victims.

• However, we found no evidence that the claim that Trump flew to St. James Jr. is true. We cannot verify that Facebook users who filed the claim actually acquired an airline in 2001. In addition to the claim, Facebook users shared photos of themselves wearing pilot clothing that appears to be from online retailer Amazon.

• St. James reported that the guest was taking a boat or helicopter into the island because it had no runway, further discrediting the claims that Trump or his corporate planes would fly to or land there.

• Trump said in January 2025 that he had never visited Epstein Island.

Facebook user Tom Crosby first filed a claim on August 6, 2025, writing:

I don’t know, but every flight is tracked by the ATS. Donald Trump’s plane has tracked at least 37 times on radar to Epstein’s island. You’re welcome. All flights anywhere save ten years or more. Retired pilot, Air Canada co-pilot Tom Crosby

This statement is very popular on Facebook (Archive). It is also distributed on X (archive), thread (archive), and Bluesky (archive). Snopes readers wrote to ask if the claim is true.

However, we found no evidence to prove Crosby’s claim, and further research doubted his alleged certificate. Commentators about Crosby’s post noted that the needle he wore in the attached photo did not look like it belonged to a carrier obtained by Air Canada in 2001. Instead, the dowel appears to be coming from an online retailer Amazon pilot outfit, which includes a white shirt like Crosby Wore.

Commentators also requested more proof of Crosby’s claims, and we have not found reports in reputable news sources (archive, archive, archive, archive). If true, the claim will be widely reported. On July 13, Crosby made a similar claim (archive), “We also have every flight log or ship heading to Epstein Island.” Crosby posted these claims on various groups related to the Meidas Touch News Network, which describes itself as “pro-democracy.” The network originated from a super PAC that previously supported the campaign of former U.S. President Joe Biden.

On February 15, 2025, Crosby released (archive) He is “Network Administrator of Meidas Touch News Network”. Crosby is the administrator of at least two Facebook groups related to Meidas Touch News Network. The Rolling Stones described Meidas as “anti-Trump” in 2021.

Although speculation continues to surround Epstein and St. James Little, we have not found specific statements about the “Donald Trump’s plane” flying to St. James Little.

We found no evidence that Tom Crosby posted a claim on a page related to the “anti-Trump” news network Meidas Touch, which is actually what Air Canada claims in his position. Crosby wore the same pins found in the pilot’s outfit sold in the claim image by Amazon.

Although we did not have the main evidence in the form of a flight log of the Trump plane at the time, we did know that the plane could not land at St. James, but at St. Thomas nearby. Whether Trump is on board or not, his plane cannot land on Little St. James Island, which is 37 flights to the destination.

Trump said in January 2025 that he had never visited Epstein Island. At the time of writing, there is no public evidence to the contrary.
