The United States reportedly proposes NATO-like Ukrainian security assurance

According to AFP, the United States has put forward NATO-like security assurances.
The proposed assurance will provide Ukraine with unique security assurances without formally joining NATO.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has reportedly agreed to the proposal, which has also been shared with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Zelenskyy will travel to Washington on Monday to meet with U.S. President Donald Trump.
Trump said earlier Saturday that Ukraine should reach an agreement to end the war with Russia because “Russia is a big power, not them”.
Trump and Putin began multiple rounds of negotiations in Alaska on Friday.
In a subsequent briefing with the Ukrainian president, Trump said that if Ukrainian forces ceded all that was once one of Russia’s main targets, Putin proposed to freeze most of the front lines.
According to foreign media reports, Zelenskyy rejected demand.
The meeting is the first U.S.-Russian summit since the full invasion of Moscow in February 2022.
