Rafael Nadal Not only Carlos Alcaraz Former doubles partner, he is the world’s number one fan.
Nadal, who watched 22-year-old Alcaraz Dethrone Jannik Sinner win his sixth Grand Slam title on Sunday said “apparently” Alcaraz can match his 22-career Grand Slam title.
Nadal, who spoke to Spanish media at the Celebrity Charity Golf Championships in Clínica Menorca Foundation on Thursday, said all signs point to Alcaraz’s game and one day may go beyond his career-major Mark Mark.
“[Alcaraz] seem arrive Nadal told the Spanish media. “Yes, his career is impressive. He is a very special player and we’ve known for years, but over time it’s confirmed that he’s improving an impressive career.”
Nadal and Alcaraz competed in doubles mates at the Paris Olympic Games, both losing to Americans Austin Krajicek and Rajeev Ram.
The King of Clay said it was obvious to him that Alcaraz was expected to surpass 20 Grand Slam titles, and that if he could stay healthy and continue to improve, there might be more.
“This game seems unique,” Nadal said. “He has six, it’s an incredible age and I hope he [can win] As much as possible. ”
