There is a living room in this Oldsmobile
We’ve seen the concept of a car with a living room interior, but this Oldsmobile Toronado does have that concept. While the interior is so wild, it will double it, but the exterior is also very obvious, which makes this Oldsmobile 67-X a memorable vehicle.

Not surprisingly, George Barris is the builder of this crazy Oldsmobile Toronado. In fact, four were created at the 1967 Canadian Centennial Celebration. This is one of the strangest car stories of the 20th century.
Barris cut off the car and added 15 inches in length so the interior is big enough to fit all living room dates. This makes them nearly 20 feet long, dwarfing almost all modern SUVs! !

He also removed many body panels, blew them out with fiberglass and flowed more, making the Toronado look more futuristic.
Plus, the car retains its hot 7.0-liter V8 pumping 385 horsepower. This is sent to the rear wheels, so extending the length of the car does not require changing the drive shaft.
Commissioned by Esso Oil, these cars are part of a promotional stunt designed to enable Canadians to travel across the great powers. Anyone can compete to win a wild car known as the ultimate road trip, thanks to the Plus Interior.
People have to drive to five different Esso gas stations, distributed in Canada, collecting safe driving skills. Once a person gathers these, of course some extensive road trips are required, they can mail them to the competition.
The cars were given away, but there were only two people who were in the whereabouts, and there was some speculation about a third. The fourth may be lost forever, although it may suddenly surface.
Most people don’t realize there is a fifth car, one Barris reserved for themselves.
