This HDMI mod allows you to play Nintendo Switch Lite on a large screen

If you can’t get the latest Nintendo Switch 2, then you might be able to put FOMO on BAY using the Switch Lite clever mod. Taki Udon, co-founder of Retro Remake, released a video showing a working version of the Super5 OLED Touch HDMI Mod. As the verbose name suggests, this third-party mod adds an OLED display, a glass touch screen and an HDMI output, and an HDMI output to the switch Lite.

The Nintendo Switch 2 is only one month old, so it’s still too early to expect any news about the Switch Lite successor. However, Retro Remake’s Mod adds some key upgrades to Nintendo’s Handpheld, which was released in 2019 and gives us an idea of what the next-generation version will look like. It’s worth noting that this is a solderless mod that mainly requires only the connection cable and can output 1080p HDMI video to a larger screen instead of the Switch Lite’s 5.5-inch LCD LCD touch screen.

Retro Remake previously provided the Super5 OLED Touch Mod, which lacks HDMI capabilities. The company’s co-founder said adding additional features proved to be a serious challenge, and the company said the project “spent 18 months of research and development, failed revisions and cost more than $200,000.”

Taki Udon wrote on X: “I can’t describe how shocking it is to go through so many failed revisions. I hope every subsequent version will succeed, but they aren’t.”

Super5 OLED Touch HDMI upgrade kit is still under test, but the latest post shows Switch Lite Mod playback Mario Kart On a larger display. Retro Remake’s HDMI upgrade kit starts at $90, but is currently sold out on its website. The company is not sure when the kits will be shipped out, according to the email sent to the booking customers.
