Those fascist social media posts from DHS have copyright issues

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has posted in recent months irrelevant propaganda from ice videos, which are biblical quotes, to historical paintings about obvious destiny. Some images and videos posted to social media appear to use intellectual property that DHS has not obtained, including audio from the 2022 movie Batman. Now, at least one right holder is talking about it.
The late painter Thomas Kinkade “Morning guaranteed“A painting released earlier this month’s title of DHS official account”Protect your home. ”
“On July 1, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) posted a photo on its social media account with a painting from Thomas Kinkade studio. Unauthorized use of his artwork, we asked DHS to delete the post, and we are consulting our consultants to consult our options with our choice.”

The statement continued that the Kincard Family Foundation strongly condemned the position’s views and “tragic actions that the DHS continues to carry out.” Of course, the view is that America must return to a more whiter mythical past. At least that’s what the commenters on X saw clearly.
“Like many of you, we are very troubled to see this image used to promote division and xenophobia related to the DHS ideal because it is the opposite of our mission,” the statement said. “We stand firmly with communities threatened and targeted by the Department of Homeland Security, especially our immigrants, BIPOC, undocumented, LGBTQ+, and relatives and neighbors of people with disabilities.”
DHS official account has also been shared recently Morgan Westling With title “Remember the legacy of your home. The account mistakenly believes that the painting is titled “New Life on New Land”, although it is actually called “New Life Prayer”. Wiestling has not yet publicly commented on DHS using his image.

Another painting used recently is no longer copyrighted, but the information it sends has also caused controversy. John Gast is known as the work of “American Progress” and is often used in history books to prove the notion of obvious destiny that some settlers, in the 19th century beliefs, were once destined by God to colonize the American West.
The tweet received the title,”The legacy of the motherland worth defending. As an expert in speaking with The Washington Post, it proposed a “sterilized version of American history” that failed to acknowledge wholesale destruction of Indigenous communities when settlers moved the West within the 19th century.

But this is DHS social media video It can be said that this is more disturbing than painting. They may put DHS in some copyright issues.
A video posted on Monday Includes the title: “Illegal Foreigner for Every Crime in the United States: Darkness is no longer your ally. You pose an existential threat to American citizens, and the U.S. Border Patrol’s Special Operations Team will be omnipotent to hunt you down.” Apart from the lengthy language, the images are also disturbing when you remember what ICE is doing every day now.
To every criminal illegal foreigner in the United States:

The video shows people in tactical equipment rushing into what appears to be a training building. The video also uses voiceover Batman (2022), we hear Robert Pattinson read “They think I’m hiding in the shadows. But I’m the shadow.”
The video also uses the Bible projected on the screen, Proverb 28:1, which reads “The evil escape without one following; but the righteous are the boldness of the lion.” The use of the passage seems to be an attempt to imply that immigrants flee when no one comes, which is clearly meaningless. ICE launched a campaign that revolves around immigration without any criminal record, and these people do make people pursue them. Those who usually don’t show their faces or prove they work for law enforcement.
Ironically, after just two verses, Proverbs seem to condemn what the Trump regime is doing: “Ruler The oppression of the poor It’s like a driving rain without crops. ”In addition, there are several verses: “”The poor are better if they are not wrong in walking More than those unjustly rich people. ”
Another video posted on social media platforms like Facebook once again uses Bible poetry, and a narrator says: “I heard the voice of the Lord say: Who should I send, who will send us?
The video also includes the song “God’s Conto You Cath You toun toun” by Black Rebel Motorcycle Club A man Starring Jeff Daniels. It is not clear yet Whether DHS seeks permission to use the song, but the version on Instagram is currently read: “This song is not available at the moment”, which indicates that due to Copyright issues.
The Department of Homeland Security did not answer Gizmodo’s questions about its fascist social media posts or the use of copyrighted material. If we hear the echo, we will update this article, although the last time we interacted with the ICE, an agency spokesperson sent us statistics that were obviously not based on reality. When asked about their claims for violence against ice officers, they ignored the emails.
