Frances Tiafoe Sweatproof clothing will be worn in tennis heaven.

Tiafoe, known for her ability to wick away sweat, will debut lululemon’s sweat-hiding technology in the brand’s ShowZero apparel. Lululemon says the technology is designed to “hide more sweat while ensuring enhanced breathability, moisture management and an incredible lightweight feel to support the most demanding high-sweat activities.”

The new ShowZero technology was developed in partnership with lululemon ambassador Tiafoe and will appear in his custom jersey for the BNP Paribas Open. The jersey features a burgundy color scheme with vertical stripes on the shorts.

“When I feel and look my best, it helps me perform at my best,” Frances Tiafoe said. “For someone like me who sweats a lot, it’s great to have a set that keeps me fresh from start to finish.

“ShowZero is a must-have for those hot days on the court.”

lululemon’s product innovation team began developing the new ShowZero technology in 2024, leveraging insights from extensive in-lab and field testing and feedback sessions with Tiafoe.

“By analyzing Tiafoe’s sweat rates, on-court movements and competitive environment, lululemon identified an opportunity to address an unmet need by improving the ShowZero technology platform and developing a sweat-concealing solution for high-sweat activities like tennis,” the brand said in a statement.

The new ShowZero is a yarn technology that lululemon says “changes the way light interacts with fabric, eliminating the absorption of light when wet and making sweat virtually invisible.”

In addition to hiding sweat, the technology is designed to improve comfort with its lightweight feel, breathability and advanced sweat-wicking capabilities to promote quick drying. The technology will be available to consumers later this year.

In November, lululemon announced a multi-year partnership with the BNP Paribas Open, the world’s largest ATP and WTA 1000 tennis event, as its official apparel and footwear equipment supplier. The partnership will showcase lululemon’s sports and lifestyle products at the BNP Paribas Open, including the company’s high-performance, high-style tennis equipment, providing athletes with innovative on- and off-court solutions.
