First trade: Index opens higher; 24,837 at Nifty; Bajaj Auto falls 2%

Indian stocks opened up modest earnings on the first trading day of the June series despite weak Asian markets. At the Open, NSE’s Nifty 50 opened with a 3.85-point gain of 0.02% at 24,837.45, while BSE Sensex rose 26.05 points, or 0.03%, to 81,659.07.

Meanwhile, the bank Nifty deals with TAD income, led by counters such as IDFC First Bank, Baroda, Baroda, Punjab National Bank.

From the Nifty50 package, the highest interest includes stocks such as Indian Coal, L&T, Jio Financial, Grasim and Cipla, while Laggards include stocks such as Bajaj Auto, Tech Mahindra, Infosys, Hindalco and HCL Technologies.

Finally, Japan’s Nikkei fell 1.41%, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng fell 1.6%, and Singapore’s Straits Age’s trading volume was 0.25%.

Meanwhile, South Korea’s Kospi fell 0.6%.
