President Donald Trump said on Monday he was “very disappointed” with Russian President Vladimir Putin and said he would “reduce” the initial 50-day deadline he set earlier this month, 10-12 days from today.

“I’m going to complete a new deadline in about 10, 10 or 12 days,” Trump told Scotland reporters. “There’s no reason to wait. That’s 50 days and I want to be generous, but we just can’t see any progress.”

Trump initially set a 50-day deadline, with Putin reaching a peace deal in Washington, D.C. on July 14, but by raising the deadline to 12 days on Monday, he cut the overall end date in half.

“I’m disappointed with President Putin, very disappointed with him,” Trump said on Monday. “So we’re going to have to look, and I’m going to reduce the 50 days I give him because I think I already know the answer.”

Trump’s comments came hours after Russia released more than 300 drones and missiles in Ukraine, prompting not only Kiev to compete for the air force, but Poland’s Operations Command said it also deployed fighters into the sky.

“I would have said five times we would have reached a deal. I’ve talked with President Putin. “But we’ve talked about it… we think we’ve solved it a lot.”

“Then President Putin went out and fired the rockets to some cities like Kiev and killed a lot of people in nursing homes or anywhere else. Your body was lying on the street.” “And I said, that’s not the way to do that. So we’ll see what happens.”

The death has not been confirmed since the early morning strike, and at least five people were injured in the attack on the capital, Keefe, including a two-year-old girl. Other strikes targeted the Khmelnytskyi region in western Kiev and the Kyovohrad region in Kilovrad region.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in a message on X: “We have achieved strong results against the ‘Shahs’ – dozens of Russian drones were shot down.

“But we are constantly strengthening Ukraine’s Air Shield, and it is crucial to keep a clear understanding between partners that they can help exactly,” he added. “Step by step, we are closing the funding gap for drone production and I will have new negotiations with partners later this week.”
