Austrian school shooting has killed at least nine people, including suspects – National

The mayor of the city said at least eight people were killed in a shooting at a school in the Austrian city of Graz on Tuesday, and the alleged perpetrators were also killed.
Mayor Elke Kahr described the incident as a “terrible tragedy”, according to the Austrian news agency. It added that the death toll was seven students and one adult. Carl said many people were taken to the hospital after being injured.
Police said they believe the attacker was acting alone.
Police wrote on social network X that the special forces were people who were taken to Borg Dreierschützengasse High School, about a kilometer (half mile) in the historic center of Graz. The situation is “safe” and there is no longer any danger, they wrote.
According to photos published by Kleine Zeitung, a regional newspaper, police deployed a lot of deployments, with police and other emergency vehicles guarding the area around the school, with at least one police helicopter flying.

Graz, the second largest city in Austria, is located in the southeast of the country and has about 300,000 residents.
Austrian Prime Minister Christian Stocker said the shooting was “a national tragedy that deeply shocked our entire country.”
“We all feel pain and sad words now,” he wrote in a statement posted on X.
“This kind of horror cannot be captured in words,” said President Alexander Van Der Bellen.
