Ultrahuman aims to make all US ring orders in the US

On May 8, Smart Ring Maker Ultrahuman announced plans to fulfill all its Texas-based orders. The tech company that makes Superman air rings plans to expand its Plano, Texas plant, which opened in November 2024.

“Super Resistance” is a partnership with SVTronics in the United States and plans to expand annual manufacturing capacity to 500,000 that meets U.S. needs. This is part of Ultrahuman's goal to fulfill all U.S. orders. “Through domestic production rings, the company is ensuring faster transportation, better services and increased reliability for U.S. consumers,” the company said in a press release.

This is an appropriate move when tariffs damage the technology industry. Foreign-made products such as frame laptops, Anker Chargers and Nvidia GPUs, all of them have seen price increases due to components and equipment made in China or other countries affected by President Trump’s tariffs. Smart rings produced at Ultra factory in Plano, Texas will not face tariffs. But, according to the company, the motivation to expand U.S. factories is not based on tariffs.

Mixable light speed

A Ultrahuman representative said the U.S. manufacturing industry allowed the company to work more closely with the U.S. health and military sectors, not just to make software for its U.S. customer base.

Ultrahuman Ring is a popular alternative to OURA rings and one of the best smart rings we tested on Mashable. It has a similar design and is equipped with many of the same functions as the OURA ring. While it's not without failures, like a Buggy App UX, it's a more affordable smart ring. All Ultrahuman Air rings cost $349 and are the same as the cheapest ORA model. Ultrahuman Rings also doesn’t require a monthly membership to access its full features, such as Oura's Do.

“The ultra-resistant nature of Plano, Texas allows us to deliver products faster, enhance quality control, and further strengthen our commitment to American consumers, allowing them to bring cutting-edge hygiene technology to them,” said Mohit Kumar, founder and CEO of Ultrahuman.
