Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said on Sunday that India’s first bullet train between Mumbai and Ahmedabad will “start soon”, which will reduce travel time between the two cities to just 2 hours and 7 minutes.
Vaishnaw said that the bullet train project was moving rapidly when Bhavnagar Terminus in Gujarat talked to reporters, in fact, in the case of three trains (Ayodhya Express, Rewa-Pune Express and Jabalpur-Raipur Express), Vaishnaw said.
The Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) in Mumbai will connect to major cities in Gujarat such as Vapi, Surat, Vadodara and Ahmedabad through a 508km high-speed rail corridor. According to the minister, the train will be traveling at speeds up to 320 km/h.
The new train between Porbandar and Rajkot is a 13.5 crore coaching maintenance facility at the Rabavav station, a railway antenna in Porbandar, two Gati Shakti Cargo Terminals, and a container terminal in the port developed by Bhavnagar, and a few projects in Gujarat are listed only in Gujarat’s upcoming railway projects.
He stressed the progress of the United States, saying that 34,000 kilometers of new railway tracks have been installed under the government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the past 11 years, an average of nearly 12 kilometers per day.
He will carry out the renovation of 1,300 railway stations as an unprecedented effort in Indian railway history.
Vaishnaw noted that India is implementing this change while maintaining train operations and keeping station operations, reflecting the scope of the PM Modi vision, where the reconstruction of stations requires a complete cessation of services compared to developed countries.
Additionally, he cites contemporary trains such as Vande Bharat Express, Amrit Bharat Express and Namo Bharat Express.
To date, eight Amrit Bharat trains with premium facilities and affordable tickets have been introduced.
According to the minister, passengers responded well to these new trains, which were built using cutting-edge technology.
The minister stressed that with the help of the twin-engine governments in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, important railway projects in these states are also progressing, besides Gujarat.
