Vancouver women help families in Gaza – BC

Nariman Ajjur has been fighting for more than 19 months to keep her family safe.
Her nephew was in the hospital recently. The child was injured in an air strike, killing his father and injuring his mother. Ajel said her parents and four other siblings were also trapped in the middle of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
“It’s just a racist system,” Agil said.
“Other crises in the world have been opened with rapid roads, but when it is Gaza, we face many challenges, such as including documentation.
“I was forced to find my brother’s certificate to complete this application, including extensive background check information, and even with all this, our family was still waiting. We had nothing left. I don’t know what to say to my family right now. They asked if they would arrive safe as soon as possible.”

Her family completed security checks under Canada’s special immigration measures to Gaza.

“Especially if these kids are under three years old, it’s extremely challenging to convince them why there is no food.”
She asked the government to step up efforts to keep Palestinians in Canada.
