“The armed forces have responded appropriately to these violations and we are very serious to these violations. We call on Pakistan to take appropriate steps to address these violations and to handle the situation with serious and accountable responsibility,” he said in a brief media summary.
“The armed forces maintain a strong view of the situation. They are instructed to strongly deal with any duplication of violations of international borders and the scope of control,” he said.
He also said that the violations are condemnable and that Pakistan needs to understand the situation correctly and take corresponding actions.
His statement came in hours after India accepted Pakistan’s request to stop the fire through the US-mediated talks.
