“Our flights to and from Tel Aviv will be suspended until May 25, 2025,” Air India said in a travel consultation posted on X (formerly Twitter).

Indigo also released a travel consultation, announcing the cancellation of all flights to and from Srinagar, Jammu, Amritsar, Leh, Chandigarh, Dharamshala, Dharamshala, Bikaner, Jodhpur, Kishangarh and Rajkot until May 10, 2025.

The consultation, released in Indigo's official X processing, assured passengers that the airline will provide updates through official channels and assist with any changes to the travel plan.

Mumbai International Airport has released a passenger consultation stating that it is still operational but warns of longer waiting times due to enhanced security protocols.

Passengers are advised to arrive early, work with security personnel, and follow official channels for accurate information.

“Crossers are encouraged to work with safety and airport personnel, follow Ahmedabad Airport's social media channels for accurate, timely information and contact their airlines for exact details,” the consultation said.

Akasa Airlines and Spicejet have also released similar advisers urging passengers to arrive at safety measures at least three hours before departure. “As a result of increased security measures at all airports in India, we require you to arrive at the airport at least 3 hours before departure,” Akasa Airlines said.

These developments are due to the intensification of tensions between India and Pakistan, reporting reports of Pakistani troops shooting at the Line of Control (LOC) of URI, Kupwara, Tangdhar and Jammu and Kashmir departments, violating the ceasefire.

Tensions between India and Pakistan escalated after the Indian Armed Forces launched the Indian Armed Forces early Wednesday morning (May 7), targeting Pakistan's terrorist infrastructure and Pakistan-occupied Jamu and Kashmir (POK).

The operation is a retaliatory response to the April 22 terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which killed 26 civilians, including a Nepali national.

Operation Sindoor is one of the deepest strikes India has carried out on Pakistan’s undisputed territory since 1971, successfully targeting Pakistan’s terrorist camps and Pakistan-occupied Jamu and Kashmir. Ani reported that this marked New Delhi’s most important military operation in Pakistan’s territory in fifty years.
