Superman Now the movie is in the theater, but you have to do it. After a few years of waiting, James Gunn launched the official kick-off for the DC Universe for this brand new new, and now we know. But, in a surprising way, Gunn’s revelation is not included in the final clip like many other comic book movies. His biggest provocation is the film itself, where both end scenes meet different purposes. Let’s solve it in all parts.

The biggest clue to the future of DC Universe is the final scene of the movie. Back at the Fortress of Solitude, Superman hears a commotion, and his cousin, Supergirl (played by Milly Alcock), stumbles in. And we do mean stumbles. It will not be immune to the effects of wine like the yellow sun. We also learn Krypto is her dog, she’s why he’s so rough, and then the two leave.

Super girlso this acts almost as a trailer for what we can expect. Beyond that, it establishes that both Supergirl and Superman have knowledge of this universe well beyond the boundaries of Earth. It may also be directly associated with the plot of the new film, depending on how close the film ends up being the original material written by Tom King. Either way, that our first major DC tease is of this drink, Kryptonian relative of Superman is pretty awesome.

After that, Superman There are two final credit scenarios. The first one was basically just a shot from Superman, Krypto sat on the moon, looking back affectionately at the earth. The scene gives us a good sense of closure because we know that the earth is in good hands. Superman is here to protect it. It does raise some questions, though. Has Superman brought Krypto back? We just saw Super Girl bring him back. Is this before the movie incident? Our guess is that James Gunn has nothing to think about. He just wants this character this wonderful moment. But both ways are curious.

Then there is a second scene, which will return to the metropolis shortly after the movie event. In the movie, Lex Luthor opens up a dimensional rift, destroying the city, and Superman and Mr. Terrific work together to fix it. Now, does this establish some plot about large, slowly rifting the Earth across two-dimensional rifts, which is the first seed? Maybe, but we don’t think so. We think this scene is just to build a rapport and relationship between great and superhuman. A hero who respects each other and can play with it. Again, it’s a bit sensitive, Superman realizes he has to pay attention to that.

If anything, the scene lets us know that in the future, Superman will not be alone. He will always have a superhero backup.
