When the world is out of control

I’m still reading the summer backlog here and finally arrived at Alex Foster’s this week Circular motionthis was released in May. And, wow, I’m not ready for this emotional journey that I’ll take me on. It is set in the near future – people ride a single wheel, and spreading communication on social media is still a matter of effort – Megacompany CWC has created an extreme form of high-speed travel here that allows people to slide gradually around the world immediately. However, it will soon be clear that this has consequences for this. The Earth is spinning faster and faster…faster, and protesters blame CWC on which travel systems rely on orbits.
As the days get shorter and the climate events get more and more extreme, everything is causing disaster. Circular motion Follow Tanner, a kid from a small Alaska town who finds a job at CWC, Winnie, a girl who has actually been to pass It and Colombian professor Victor Bickle, who earned a viral reputation after predicting a public infrastructure disaster. When we piece together through multiple POVs, they all connect together. It is a book about capitalism, climate change and everything in between, and a beautiful exploration of human connection in a collapsed world.
