Sinner is bidding to become the 2026 Sunshine Doubles Champion alongside Sabalenka after the WTA world No. 1 defeated Coco Gauff on Saturday in Miami. If Sinner defeats Lehka to lift the trophy, it will mark the fourth time an ATP player and a WTA player have completed the Sunshine Double in the same year.
The first happened in 1994, when Sampras and Steffi Graf won in Indian Wells and Miami respectively. In 2005, Federer and Clijsters won two events each, while in 2016, Djokovic and Victoria Azarenka both won the Sunshine Double.
