Why Eagles fan Zach Bryan boycotts Kansas City show

Kansas City has obviously seen it Zach BryanLive performance.
The 29-year-old country star, who joined Kansas City Chiefs fans online with Kansas City Chiefs fans on Friday, August 8, had a speech war online, leading to Bryan’s X declaration: “Please understand I’ll never play in Kansas City.”
Earlier in the day, Bryan wrote through X: “Where were the people with all three tops last year?” (The musician seemed to mention the failure of the Chiefs’ attempt to win three consecutive Super Bowl titles in February against the Hawks.)
Bryan resonates with supporters of the online chief who made an angry rant at his initial post. One of the 160+ comments from the post reads: “3 Super Bowls won five seasons. The Hawks won two titles in their 70-year history. Sit down the Oklahoma Hawks fans,” another troubled Chiefs fan wrote: “Just another fan who abused the Hawks.”
A particularly offensive user wrote: “Overall, the people who talked were good. He picked out a fan base. The fan base that sold his show” apparently hit the nerves in Bryan and triggered his dramatic Kansas City announcement. (Bryan’s declaration specifically answered the comment.)
“The Orange Things” musician doubled down, explaining his decision to stop playing in Kansas City on X’s post: “I’ll end my show and get a sarcastic call when I’m playing in that stadium.” (Bryan’s post quotes the Chiefs’ home Arrow Stadium.)
Bryan’s explanation, in addition to further sparking heated debate, made more than 700 comments this time.
This is not Bryan’s passion for the Hawks, and it’s not the first time it’s controversial. In September 2024, he shared a targeted X post Taylor Swiftthe chief’s girlfriend is nervous, Travis Kelce. The post started as “Eagle>Chief” and then continued, “Kanye>Taylor…who is with me.” ((Kanye West Swift, 35, has been involved in public hatred for more than a decade.
Bryan’s online jab was out for two days and he went to Instagram to apologize. “For the record guy, I didn’t come to Taylor that night,” Brian shared at the time via his Instagram story. “I compared the two records drunk, which is wrong.”
He added in his apology post: “I know there are a lot of things that are covered in dark clouds and I speak purely on music. I love Taylor’s music, and pray you guys know I’m human and tweet stupid things.”
Bryan also claimed that he shared the post when he was intoxicated. “I respect [Taylor] Like a musician, the last thing I want is people who think I don’t appreciate and like what she does for music,” Brian wrote. “Don’t drink and tweet. Don’t drink, tweet! ”
