The former couple's statement was released soon after US Weekly The garrison was confirmed to have died of suicide at the age of 25.

Come out of the fog
“It's hard to get my brain to work again,” Janelle explained via Instagram in March 2024. “I'm so grateful for the love and support I've received in the last three weeks. Support. I'm honored.”
A natural birthday
“Happy birthday sweetheart,” Janelle captioned her son's 26th birthday in April 2024 on an Instagram post. “We miss you so much today. It's hard to believe you're no longer here.”
She shared: “We talked a lot about you today, and even went to dinner on Dexas Roadhouse (your favorite place 😀), and I still feel nearby at times. I'm grateful that we'll meet again after my trip is finished.”

Janelle revealed in May 2024 that she “feels sad so close to the ground” while celebrating her first Mother's Day without a garrison. “It was especially incredible when I made this simple pie,” she wrote via social media. “Our strawberry picking tour, coupled with the fact that I randomly found rhubarb in local farmers’ markets, made this pie destined.”
Janelle continued, “Maybe no one likes it better than the garrison. It makes this pie a little bittersweet. I love you, my dear, and miss you every day.”
By it
“Every day is a day,” Janelle told exclusively us October 2024 at the annual party of Us Weekly + Pluto TV reality show.
“I just think you're doing everything you can to support mental health, especially men's mental health. We're just going to keep trying to respect him and remember him,” she explained.
1 year
Janelle mourned her son on the anniversary of his death in March 2025, reveals via Instagram: “I keep busy, but in every quiet moment, you are my thoughts. It's a baby of the year. Baby. We miss you so much. I miss you so much.”
Leaving too early
Sister and wife In a May 2025 episode, family reactions to the death of the garrison were documented, including Cody's response to the news. “Waves of sadness. That's not that. Do you know what I'm talking about?” Cody said in the May 4 episode. “It’s really heartbreaking.”
He admitted: “I didn’t have a chance to really make things right, I just couldn’t say goodbye.”
Before his death, after he fought the garrison before his Union Rule 19, Cody admitted: “It's, I have to do something different because I can be with him and I think there will be more time. Everyone thinks they have more time.”
Cody breaks into his wife Robin Brownasked, “What should I do? On every holiday and every birthday, how should I do the rest of my life?”

At the same time as May 2025 Sister and wife In the plot, Janelle recalls a few hours before the garrison’s death. She remembered texting and talking to him all day, and when he stopped around 8pm, Janelle asked his brothers to check him out and she went to bed.
She woke up and received a call from her son Gabriel Brown Tell her that the garrison was dead. “I don't know what happened that night because he had a night like this, he would drink and pass out, and then he would silently mute, but he would come back in the morning,” Janelle explained. “I don't know what happened this time.”
Janelle later told her sister Carrie During the coronavirus pandemic, this garrison “has anxiety and depression, and then he started drinking was a soothing way.” She concluded: “Then it became an animal that he couldn't grasp. We did everything we could. I know that.”
Brotherly love
Janelle recalls in an episode of May 2025 Sister and wife That garrison was “very relevant to young children.” She remembered affectionately that he was Cody's “very paying attention” and Kristen BrownThe youngest daughter, real.
Janelle explained in the May 11 episode: “Robin will comment that he will come and see Thor and Ali every day.” Janelle excitedly said: “He always cared very much about young siblings.”
Overcome anxiety
In the May 2025 TLC episode, Cody details his ancestral state of his desire to bury the garrison's ashes in Wyoming as a “pilgrimage.”
“Sometimes it stands out from the blue, it overcomes me. It's almost like some kind of anxiety attack,” Cody said of the process. “Just a deep, overwhelming feeling that I can never see him again. There's so much left, much left.”
He noted that for mourning, he planned to bury the garrison, “Next to his grandmother and his grandfather, you know, just…complete the circle.” Cody cried and said, “I was the first to hold him. This is my son. I was shocked to sleep. It was part of my mourning process.”
Digging a grave
“I talked to Sexton of the cemetery, who is the person who usually digs the graves,” Cody explained in another episode in May 2025. Sister and wife. “I just asked him if he could dig it. It means a lot to me. I don't know why.”
Kody excavated the garrison’s grave in a “ancient Western National Cemetery” in Wyoming, calling it “one of the most important things I have ever done.” He revealed: “This is the final ode to my boy. … It’s my duty, my job.”
