Is Lorenzo Musetti’s first-ever Nitto ATP Finals qualification threatened by Felix Auger-Aliassime, Casper Ruud and Daniil Medvedev?
All three stars secured ATP 250 titles on Sunday, which could prove crucial as the PIF ATP Live Turin event nears its climax. With 10th-ranked Jake Draper out for the rest of the season due to injury, Auger-Aliassime (ninth), Rudd (11th) and Medvedev (12th) continue to pile pressure on Musetti, who currently occupies the final qualifying spot in eighth, and seventh-ranked Alex De Minaur.
Musetti made it clear that a big goal for this season is to qualify for the Nitto ATP Finals, which is especially important for the Italian given that the event is being held on home soil. But Musetti had never earned a spot in the season finale before, while the man behind him did.
Auger-Aliassime entered the field late on the back of his success in the same indoor season three years ago. Rudd has qualified for the year-end tournament three times, while Medvedev is seeking his seventh consecutive qualification.

Auger-Aliassime is just 330 points behind Musetti after claiming his sixth ATP Tour title at the Brussels Indoor Court. A proven contender on hard courts, the two-time Basel champion has a chance to close the gap even further when he returns to the ATP 500 event.
Ruud lifted his first Stockholm trophy and issued a reminder. He is 740 points behind Musetti but can push further when he comes to Basel.
Medvedev entered the Rolex Shanghai Masters in 20th place at the PIF ATP Turin Live event, but reached the semifinals and defended his title at the Almaty Open. The former Nitto ATP Finals champion, now ranked 13th, will be hoping for a chance to make more progress in Vienna and Paris, where he has triumphed in the past.

Musetti and No. 6 Ben Shelton are targeting debuts at the year-end championships. Fourth-placed Alexander Zverev, fifth-placed Taylor Fritz and seventh-placed Alex De Minaur all have experience at the Nitto ATP Finals and are still trying to secure their spots in Turin.
De Minaur made his debut a year ago and is currently trying to return to the Inalpi Arena. The Australian has a bit of a cushion in seventh place, but he’s only 60 points ahead of Musetti.
Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner and Novak Djokovic have qualified for the Nitto ATP Finals. Sinner is the defending champion, while Alcaraz will be chasing his first title in the tournament. Djokovic set a record seven titles in the season finale.
