Dad Matthew Stafford gives a candid answer about never having a son
Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford It was the proud father of four daughters – but that did not stop him from thinking about his son’s life.
Stafford, 37, talks about the idea of having a boy in a wife episode on Monday, June 9 Kelly StaffordPodcast’s podcast “Another Morning” admits that walking in his NFL footsteps can add stress.
“I think it would be a challenge if we had a boy,” Matthew said. “I know there’s a feeling of expectation since I was about 15. I’m grateful to the lucky stars, I’m not six to 15 years old.”
Matthew and Kelly, 36, who married in April 2015, are the parents of the twins Sawyer and Chandler,8, hunter6, then Taylor,4.
“I was able to be a kid who could throw balls, be good at other sports, have fun, and don’t have to worry about what my dad did and whether I’m going to endure everything that other people think I’m going to endure,” Matthew said. “I didn’t have that until I’ve grown up enough to figure it out.”
He continued: “If I had a son, or if we had a boy, it was the possibility of a child being 8 years old and everyone in the park looked at him, ‘Hey, why not throw it a little better? ” When I was 8 years old, I was not taking care of what was happening around me in the world. ”

“I have a lot of great time with the girls,” he said. “For me, being a parent is the least thing I can do. When I’m with them, I’m totally focused on 100%. I don’t care much about what others go with their kids or what kind of cool trips they have.”

He added: “My moments with them are like magic.”
Matthew admitted to seeing his daughter grow old “scared my hell”, especially when Kelly insisted on sending him “the father radiated his daughter’s video at the wedding and they would all leave.”
“All my tears. It’s so bad,” Matthew said. “I thought I had to do it four times. I mean, it was a really amazing moment, whether it happened or not.”
He added: “I can’t even imagine not having that. I know it’s going to be tough. It’s two-way for me. I thought, ‘Oh God, what a killer.’ But at the same time, I like, “Man, this is a lucky guy, it’s part of that girl for so long.” ”’
